What the output summary tells you

Most generators hand you a picture and hope. The Studio hands you a receipt. The audit lists the page dimensions in points, the usable area inside your margins, the requested spacing converted exactly from millimetres or inches, the resulting column and row counts, any leftover space, and the formula version that produced it. If a spacing cannot tile the page perfectly, the leftover is reported rather than silently absorbed into a distorted grid.

The print-contrast reading judges your ink against the paper: fine hairlines need less contrast than body text, but below roughly 1.6:1 a line risks dropping out on a typical printer, and the editor says so. The binding gutter is added to the binding margin only — mirrored pages move it to the opposite side on verso sheets — and the bleed-safe overlay is a 3 mm guide, clearly labelled, that never alters the geometry.
